As you gather to honor my homegoing, I ask that you hold close the love we shared and the strength I carried within me. I fought with all my heart to stay, but my earthly journey has reached its end. Though my departure may feel sudden, it was part of God’s divine plan, written long before we could understand it.

Please don’t be angry with God for calling me home sooner than you hoped. His wisdom is infinite, and His love never fails. Though I no longer walk beside you in the physical world, my spirit remains woven into your lives, your laughter, and your memories.

I lived with purpose and with love. Let that be how you remember me: as a light in your life, a source of strength, and a reminder that love never dies.

Though I’ve left this world, I’ve not left you. My spirit lives on in every life I touched, every smile I shared, and every moment we cherished. Keep the faith, hold each other close, and live with the same love and strength that I tried to share every day.

Mr. Alfred B. Rivers, 52, of Hardeeville, SC, gained his angel wings on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Memorial Medical Health in Savannah Georgia, with his family at his side.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 06, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Matthew Baptist Church 3709 Okatie Hwy, Bluffton, SC 29910. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service.

Services of comfort have been confidently entrusted to Stiney's Funeral Home.
